Hi, I’m Cassandra Ward

I’m a minister, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, and author with more than 25 years of experience helping women and families navigate life’s hardest seasons. Yet my own journey through silence, survival, and healing revealed a deeper truth—I was called to walk alongside women as they rediscover their voices, worth, and God-given identity.
I know what it’s like to doubt your worth, lose your voice in relationships, or believe you must earn love. That’s why I created Women of Value—a supportive community where women can stop performing and start living as their God-given True Self.
Through speaking engagements, The Leah Journey™ resources, and Café Leah, I support women in healing, growing, and moving forward—step by step. There is a path to reconnect with who they truly are, and I am here to walk it with them.

MY STORY

How I Discovered My True Self — and Why I Started Women of Value

I learned the word "dissociation" and finally understood my own survival. I discovered that when a child experiences trauma, the True Self can be abandoned, and a "false self" forms. Numbing becomes a survival tactic. I tried to uncover my past by asking my mother about my childhood. Her response was brief: “Yeah, you went through a lot.” Nothing more. Nothing less. In that moment, I realized she carried her own untold story. I had no memories before age 12. I chose to keep living for others; that was my identity. Until a client asked me to help her "figure out who she was," I failed because I didn't know my own identity. But I knew my healing would come from uncovering what I couldn't see in myself. When I did, everything changed.I am Leah. That revelation healed parts therapy couldn't reach. I had been living through roles, trying to earn love rather than living from my True Self. What I once thought was "voicelessness" was actually a voice that hadn't yet been nurtured. Now, that quietness is my gift. It allows me to sit with women, listen with intention, and hear what remains unspoken.This realization inspired me to write Finding Yourself and The Leah Journey™ and to launch Women of Value—a community dedicated to helping women reconnect with the selves God designed them to be.
